Cass Gilbert Walking Tour

Few architects have shaped the romantic conception of New York more than Cass Gilbert, the Ohio-born architect who has designed a fair share of early 20th century landmarks like the Woolworth Building, New York Life Building, and the U.S. Customs House.

He’s also responsible for designs in Minnesota, and U.S. Supreme Court, but many of his most high-profile works are within several blocks of each other in Lower Manhattan and Midtown.

This map features a walking tour of lower Manhattan, though you may need to grab your MetroCard for some of the further landmarls.
